Be sure to check your owner's manual for the manufacture's suggested schedule. You may also contact Red Stick with your make and model, we'll be happy to help you.
Preventative maintenace will keep your vehicle in great working condition, help to extend the work life of your truck and there are also DOT (FMCSA) regulations for fleet vehicles. For more information on federal regulations, go to https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/regulations/title49/section/396.3

There are many sensors and computerized components that manage your vehicle’s engine performance and emissions. When one of these fails, the “check engine” or "SES" light is illuminated. Although your vehicle may seem to run fine, it is important to have the issue addressed to prevent long-term problems. Red Stick can complete a diagnostics test to determine the cause of the service light. Contact us as soon as the light signals you.
This is a very serious problem – if your engine overheats for too long, you can damage your engine. As soon as possible, find a safe place to pull off the road and shut the engine off! Do not attempt to check the fluid level in the radiator as it can burn you. The best thing to do is call Red Stick or have your vehicle towed to our repair shop.

When the “ABS” light comes on it means that the on-board ABS computer has detected a problem in the system. When the light is on the ABS system becomes inoperable and should be check by a qualified technician as soon as possible.
Fuel filters should be changed every 10,000 to 25,000 miles depending on the driving type (local route trucks would be closer to the 10,000-mile mark and over-the-road trucks would be closer to the 25,000-mile mark).
Always replace burned-out fuses with ones of the same amperage. Usually the amperage is printed on the fuse. If the same fuse continues to “blow,” you should have the circuit checked professionally by one of our technicians for defects.
